Ordering custom blinds and shades online gives you full control over size, style, and functionality—but it also requires a few extra steps compared to ready-made products.
If you’ve ever wondered why you can’t add custom blinds and shades to your cart, chances are a required option was missed. In this guide, we’ll take a quick look at blindifyhome.com and use motorized bamboo woven shades as an example to walk you through the process step by step.
Step 1: Choose Your Fabric and Color
The first step is selecting the fabric and color that best match your space.
This defines the overall look and feel of your blinds, so take a moment to explore your options.

Step 2: Enter Measurements
Custom blinds and shades are made to your exact window size, so accurate measurements are essential.
Select the Mount type: inside or outside
Enter the Width and Height based on how you measured your window
Complete the “Confirm the Dimension” section to verify your input
Measure Fit Guarantee (Optional) If your received blinds/shades dimension differ from the required size by up to 1.18" (3 cm), we’ll remake them at no extra cost. If the difference exceeds 3 cm, you’ll only pay the price difference. The motor is not included in this Guaranteee and valid for 30 days after delivery, and each custom item is eligible for one remake only.

Each product page may look slightly different, but one rule is always the same:
Any option marked with a red asterisk (*) is required.
If even one required option is missing:
The Add to Cart button will remain inactive, so it cannot be added to your cart
Once all starred (*) options are selected, the button will automatically activate.

Step 4: Place Your Order and Complete Payment
After entering the Cart page, you'll see the order details with price.
Then confirm the delivery info, including email, address, tel number.
The late step, complete the payment.
