Why did you pick this product vs others?:
I needed to cover a skylight over the bed in our camper (why did someone think that was a good idea?) and I'd tried a few other solutions that hadn't ended up working well. A roller shade mounted essentially sideways, on the ceiling, was my final attempt and I'm thrilled that it works. I used a command hook to hold the end of the shade since the little pull tab conveniently has a loop on it. We do get a little bit of light coming through the edges because the fabric of the shade does of course droop a tiny bit due to gravity, but it's about 1000x times better than it was.?

I got black and it really does not let any light through the fabric, which means it's also blocking out heat. The roller mechanism works really well, even in my use which is not how it was designed.?

Installation was a breeze. Because we were were mounting to the ceiling, we actually didn't need the bracket to be L shaped, so my husband cut off part of the bracket, leaving it a straight piece with the part that snaps on to the back of the shade. It's secure enough that I feel pretty confident that the shade isn't going to fall on our heads during the night.?
